Petrus Dahlin's and Lars Johansson's common debut, YA novel The Shadow, is about revenge, love and voodoo. The Shadow will be released at the Gothenburg Book Fair, Bok & Bibliotek, later in September by Rabén & Sjögren. More information will follow.

When Beauty Came To Town by Anna Jansson sailed straight in to third place on Svensk Bokhandel’s top list for hardcover books for April. The book, which is the thirteenth in the series about Maria Wern is set during the Medieval Festival in Visby and mixes myth and murder but also passion and ethical dilemmas. Congratulations Anna!

Book Jury Price is based on the voting by children and young readers up to 19 years, for their favorite books from last year's publication. Fire by Sara B. Elfgren and Mats Strandberg is number one on the top list long before the book has been released. Number two in the Engelsfors trilogy climbed straight to the top of Svensk Bokhandel's list over children and teenage books for March. The book will be available in stores at the end of April so the listing is based on preorders on Internet. The series fans and committed readers have secured their copy of the first edition.

Congratulations to Sara B. Elfgren and Mats Strandberg whose book The Circle have been awarded Great Reader's Prize 2011 in the category youth novel. The ceremony took place at Stadsbiblioteket in Stockholm. The prize was founded 2007 by bokcirklar.se and it's the readers who elect the winners.

Pontus Ljunghill has recently debuted with the crime novel An Invisible at Wahlström & Widstrand and the critics are unanimous in their praise. With nagging tension and melancholic tone Pontus Ljunghill writes himself into the long and successful Swedish crime tradition.

Price and nomination rain over The Circle. The first part of Sara B.Elfgren’s and Mats Strandberg's Engelsfors Trilogy, The Circle, has been awarded Book Bloggers Literary Prize. The prize was established in the autumn 2010 by the blog Breakfast Book Club. Thirtyfour different book bloggers have nominated eightyseven titles. A jury of fortyseven bloggers (last years nominees) has selected this year's winners.

The Circle has also been nominated for Book of the Year by the magazine QX and The Stockholm Prize awarded by Stockholm's entertainment news magazine Nöjesguiden. The QX-price will be handed out at the Gay Gala in Stockholm on February 6th, 2012. Three nominated books compete against each other. The final round of The Stockholm Prize is also a three book competition. The winner will be announcedand rewarded at the Nöjesguiden Gala, February 25th, 2012.

For the second year in a row Inger Wolf are invited to the crime and noir festival Barcelona Negra that takes place 2-11 February. During the festival Barcelona becomes the world capital of crime fiction and authors from all over the world are seen swirling together. Among other things Inger Wolf will participate in a seminar called “The seemingly tranquil North” held on February 7th.

Henrik Lange will participate in the largest and most prestigious comics festival in Europe. The Angoulême – Festival International de la bande dessinée (the International Festival of Comic Strip of Angoulême) takes place in Angeoulême in west France January 26-29, 2012. Henrik Lange has been invited by his French publisher Editions çà et là and he will be part of a number of the various seminars, round table talks, conferences and other events that take place during the festival.
