Arianna Bommarco

Arianna Bommarco is an audiobook author and screenwriter for film and TV. She writes dense suspense and psychological drama that comments on our time. She is interested in women’s experiences and creates strong, complex and multifaceted characters. Arianna always strives to find new ways into the crime genre, to give it new relevance and to find the story’s unexpected twists and turns.

Arianna Bommarco debuted 2017 with the thriller Dark Heritage, an audiobook series for Storytel. Dark Heritage received a warm reception from listeners and has been translated into Danish and Finnish.

In 2019 Arianna graduated from Alma Script writing course as a first step into the film and television industry and she now has several projects in development for both film and TV.

Throughout her adult life, Arianna has worked with stories in different formats and on different platforms. She has a Masters in Film Studies from Lund University where, among other things, she took a closer look at Martin Scorsese’s films. She has used her knowledge of dramaturgy as an editor in the publishing industry where she has helped to develop authorship in both facts and fiction. Arianna has made the documentary The Originator Was a Woman for SVT and has also been an exhibition curator.
