New author: Eleonore Holmgren
We are happy and proud to announce that we now represent Eleonore Holmgren. With an impressive debut novel – The Last Summer (Sista sommaren) – she made an explosive entry on the Scandinavian feelgood scene, with nominations for several prizes, like Bonnier book club’s Book of the year and Feelgood of the year at Storytel Awards.
The Last Summer is a warm and heartfelt portrayal of an elderly woman whose only wish is to spend one last peaceful summer in her beloved summer house. Once there, she encounters many challenges but also an unexpected friendship that blossoms and makes the last summer very special.
Adam is on the run from a drug dealer when he desperately breaks into a house on Lindö in the Stockholm archipelago. There, he is surprised by 86-year-old Britta, a grumpy and determined lady who, against the wishes of her children, has escaped to her summer house.
The Lindö series is a heartwarming and captivating series about relationships, unexpected friendships, personal transformation, and the deep connections we form with people and places. Since the debut, two sequels have been published: Britta’s Inheritance ( 2022) and The Way Home (2024).
Eleonore lives in Uppsala with her husband and has two grown children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the summer house in the countryside and gardening.
