Eleonore Holmgren works in communication and debuted as an author in 2021 with the novel The Last Summer, first book in the Lindö series, which has sold 300 000 copies across the series and been published internationally. What Tomorrow Brings, opens a new historical series set between rural Uppland and the city of Uppsala around the turn of the twentieth century. Eleonore lives in Uppsala with her husband and has two grown-up children.
Eleonore enjoyed writing stories from a young age, and when she got a part-time job as a freelance reporter for a local newspaper, at the age of 15, she was trained in the art of writing. This marked the beginning of a long professional career in communication and marketing.
However, her dreams of becoming an author came later in life, and her debut novel, The Last Summer, was primarily intended as a fun and joyful project for herself. Once the first book was completed, she knew she wanted to continue writing books.
The Last Summer became a great success with over 170 000 copies sold and was nominated for several awards, such as Feelgood of the Year at the Storytel Awards and Book of the Year 2022. The book was followed by Britta’s Inheritance (2022) and The Way Home (2024), which together form the beloved Lindö series, a warm and moving trilogy about resilience, friendship, and new beginnings in midlife, with 300 000 copies sold across the series and sold to 4 markets.
What Tomorrow Brings opens the Matilda series, a dramatic and intimate narrative that follows two families whose lives and paths cross in different ways throughout the books.
