Mattias J. Skoglund is a Swedish writer and director whose work spans film, television, and audio drama, with a distinctive voice that has earned both national and international recognition.

His adaptation of Mats Strandberg’s novel Hemmet (The Home) world-premiered at South by Southwest and has since sold to over 30 countries, winning the Guldbagge Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Méliès d’Argent for Best European Fantastic Feature. On television, he created, wrote, and directed the series Deg (Dough), which premiered at Series Mania, won the Kristallen Award for Best Drama Series, and has aired internationally in 20 countries including the US, UK and Germany.

Alongside his screen work, Mattias has been a pioneering force in Nordic audio drama, directing several of Sweden’s most successful and awarded productions, including De Dödas Röster (Voices of the Dead), one of Sweden’s most listened-to audio dramas ever.
