Elfgren is one of the most versatile storyteller in Sweden right now and with her award-winning and critically acclaimed novels Grim (2021) and In Dreams (2017), she has reached both young and adult readers. In her books for younger children, Sara has collaborated with illustrators Emil Maxén (The Big Banquet, 2019) and Maria Fröhlich (I’m Not Sick! (2019), among others). Vei, the epic fantasy comic inspired inspired by Norse mythology, created together with illustrator and artist Karl Johnsson is a critics success and published in USA and several other countries. Together with Mats Strandberg, she wrote the popular and critically acclaimed Engelsfors series (The Circle, The Fire, and The Key).
