Erika Böös is an up-and-coming Swedish writer and director with experience from audio drama, radio and performing arts. With her roots in acting and improvisation, she brings a strong intuitive sensibility to her writing, characterised by presence, playfulness and a sharp ear for dialogue. With training from Alma Manusutbildning and a BA from the Stockholm University of the Arts, she is well positioned to further expand her experience across television and other formats.
Erika has created and directed original audio dramas for public service broadcasters, contributed to award-winning children’s programming, and held key editorial and production positions within long-running radio and podcast series. Alongside her broadcast work, she has run independent theatre groups for many years, developing new work through collaborative and exploratory processes.
Erika knows how to tell stories for the younger audience. She enjoys working as an episode writer within different constellations and creative teams. Her background in production gives her a practical understanding of the full storytelling process, while her experience as an actor and improviser allows her to respond quickly to material, context and collaboration.
Erika is currently expanding her work within scripted film and television.
