New screenwriter

We are proud to announce that we have started representing one of Sweden’s most experienced screenwriters: Erik Ahrnbom

Erik started his career in the early 2000s, when he wrote episodes for the generational cult classic series SPUNG. Since then, he has made a huge impact on Swedish television, moving seamlessly between format and genres, from crime, comedy, drama to children.

Among Erik’s proudest works is Cockpit, a warm and sharp comedy that perfectly showcases his writing. Tackling the theme of gender identity with both humour and heart, the film is a testament to Erik’s ability to address important societal issues without losing entertainment value. Another highlight is Hålla Samman, which Erik served as head writer for during his time at Anagram. The show is a prime example of Erik’s talent for creating relatable and empathetic characters.

During Erik’s time at Anagram, he also contributed to various projects where he himself did not write the scripts, as a dramaturge, and this is something he wishes to continue with as a freelancer.

Crime/Nordic noir is another area where Erik has left his mark, having contributed to acclaimed series such as Bron (The Bridge)Arne Dahl, and Maria Wern. He thrives on adaptations, skillfully elevating existing stories inton ew formats, and is a great asset to big projects, where he contributes with a deep understanding of structure and a clear creative vision.

At the core of Erik’s storytelling is a fascination for ordinary people and their everyday struggles. He has a particular love for exploring humour in the public sector —something he masterfully did in Tunna Blå Linjen (Thin Blue Line) – and he is working on several original ideas on that theme. No matter the genre,Erik’s writing is always rooted in humanity, nuance, and a keen sense of what makes people tick.
