MOST STREAMED ON NETFLIX WORLDWIDE

What a fantastic premiere week it has been for Midsummer Night, the miniseries with script by Tove and Sofie Forsman. Over the last few days this Sweden-Norwegian production has been listed as the most streamed Netflix series in the whole world!

Midsummer Night. The longest day of the year calls for celebration. There is romance in the air. But it is also the day when Carina and John, after 30 years of marriage, choose to tell their family and friends a big secret that has unforeseen consequences…  

The series is produced by Global Ensamble for Netflix, and is directed by Per-Olav Sorensen, who also has written the script together with Anna Fredrikke Bjerke and Grand writers Tove and Sofie Forsman. Tove and Sofie Forsman are previously known for hit shows like Young Royals and Barracuda Queens, as well as films like One More Time and Nelly Rapp.   

It is clear that Midsummer Night has won the Scandinavians’ tv-hearts, but it has also attracted viewers all over the world, making us all long for love and magic summer nights. Straight upon release, the series climbed to the top spot amongst the most streamed Netflix shows, worldwide. It reached place number one on April 15th, and has been the most streamed show in ten different countries:
