Nominated for Flickapriset 2023
Atefeh Sebdani has been nominated for this year’s Flickapris for her book My hand in mine. Awarded by Plan International Sverige, the winner is chosen by a renowned jury. The prize will be presented at the Hotel At Six in Stockholm on 2 October 2023.
The jury’s motivation:
“Atefeh’s riveting autobiography, My hand in mine, has captured our hearts and our attention with its poignant portrayal of a courageous young woman.”
The jury includes former party leader Annie Lööf, Veckorevyn’s editor in chief, Irena Pozar, and Carl Björkman, the Head of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in the Nordics.
Plan International Sverige’s Flickapris is awarded to a person or an organization in Sweden that has gone above and beyond to highlight girls’ rights and resist the violation of these rights.
