Change of ownership at Grand Agency
We are delighted to share the news of a change of ownership at Grand Agency, as Elisabet Brännström has acquired the agency from founders Lena and Peter Stjernström, and taken over as Managing Director, effective from 1 September. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the agency, built firmly on the experience, values and relationships that have shaped Grand over almost two decades.
Elisabet, who joined Grand Agency in 2025 as a literary agent and was made Head of Books in 2026, takes over as Managing Director. She has twenty years’ experience in literary agenting and publishing in London and Stockholm. Her previous roles include heading up Bonnier Rights’ Nordic operations for nine years and working as a senior agent at Andrew Nurnberg Associates in London. Before joining Grand Agency, she was a literary scout and consultant at Daniela Schlingmann Literary Scouting Ltd.
Elisabet says:

Outgoing Managing Director Lena Stjernström will remain at Grand Agency as an agent and senior adviser across the book and film divisions. The rest of our team remains unchanged.

Peter Stjernström steps down as Chief Financial Officer and leaves the company. He will continue to support the agency as an independent adviser.
