We are thrilled to welcome author Nina van den Brink to the agency!
Nina van den Brink is an award-winning Finland-Swedish author based in Stockholm. She has a background in journalism, a degree in literature and French, and has worked for publications such as DI Weekend, Fokus, Expressen and Aller Media.
Nina’s first book, the biography Jag har torkat nog många golv, about the 1970s cultural icon, cleaner and author Maja Ekelöf was awarded the 2022 August Prize for Best Non-fiction.
In May 2026, Norstedts published Nina’s literary debut, Girlhood, which the press has called “transporting”, “stylistically mature” and “truly excellent”. Set in a remote village in northern Sweden in the 1970s, Girlhood follows Lollie and her fiercely loyal friend Ania-Lee through a childhood of wild freedom, until a teenage girl’s disappearance brings buried memories and hidden violence to the surface. The book is a stylistically assured, compelling novel about girlhood, memory and the unspoken ways girls protect one another when adults fail them.
