Welcome William Älgebrink
We are happy to welcome author William Älgebrink to Grand Agency!
William’s debut novel The House at Pearl River won Debut of the Year at the Crimetime Awards 2025 and was nominated for the Swedish Crime Academy’s Debut Award. The book, a genre-defying suspense novel with horror undertones which has been called ‘beautiful’, ‘thought-provoking’ and ‘unique’ by the critics, has so far been sold to five markets, and is published in Sweden by Romanus & Selling.
William Älgebrink lives in Jokkmokk in the far North of Sweden where he is a writer and filmmaker, and works in communication. He often explores the effect of darkness, be it external or internal, on the human psyche in his writing. In 2020, he was awarded the Luleå Bok & Bild short story prize, and in 2023 William wrote and directed the short film “Så låt sorgen komma”. He is currently writing his second novel.
