Welcome, Elin Grönblom

We are thrilled to announce that we have started representing the Finnish-Swedish director/screenwriter Elin Grönblom.

Elin Grönblom moves effortlessly between genres, audiences and formats, but her stories are always driven by the same thing: characters searching for identity, belonging and transformation. Whether she writes coming-of-age, horror or comedy, her work combines emotional sharpness, dark humour and a strong connection to contemporary audiences.

Before moving to Sweden, Elin established herself as one of the most exciting writer-directors of her generation in Finland through several acclaimed productions for YLE, including the youth series Jag kommer and Royalty. In Jag kommer, she explored teenage sexuality from a female perspective with honesty, awkwardness and humour, while Royalty captured the emotional violence of social media and adolescence through a young girl’s attempt to reinvent herself online.

This autumn marks the anticipated premiere of Elin’s first Swedish feature, Bloodsuckers, a horror thriller produced by Mylla Films. The story centers around a family vacation who turns into a disturbing psychological and physical transformation, for a mother who is pushed to (or rather: beyond) the edge of insanity. It is a testament to Elin’s ability to blend humour with suspense, and a lot of mosquito bites are to be expected.
