Jansson celebrates 25 years as an author

In connection with Anna Jansson’s 25 years anniversary, her publisher Norstedts awarded Anna the Norstedts statuette – “Heders-Norstedtaren” – an award in honour of being a bestselling author in 25 years.

The “Norstedtaren” statuette was established in 2020 and is handed out by Norstedts, to their authors, when one of their books has passed 100 000 sold copies. Anna Jansson has been given the statue for eighth of her books since 2020. This time Anna Jansson is awarded “Heders-Norstedtaren” for her 25 years as a bestselling author at Norstedts.

Anna Jansson made her debut in 2000 with the crime novel THE SPEACHLESS GOD (Stum sitter guden), about Detective Inspector Maria Wern. Over the 25 years of Anna’s career as an author, she has written 26 books about Maria Wern. The series has been translated into more than 20 languages and has sold over 7 million copies in Sweden.

In addition to her 25 years as an author, Anna Jansson has also written so far six crime novels in the Kristoffer Bark series, children’s books in the Emil Wern series, the Twin Detective series, the feelgood series about hairdresser Angelika in the Salong d’Amour series. In total over 10 million copies sold in Sweden alone.
