SONGBIRD (SÅNGFÅGELN)

Anki Edvinsson

A teenage girl is kidnapped and taken to Umeå. Shortly after, a father of small children is found murdered on the ice of the frozen Ume River. The attacks seem to be linked, but there are initially a lot more question marks than there are leads.

Relatives of the murdered father are shocked, telling the police over and over again that he was stable and soft-spoken, a man without enemies. The mother of the teenager is desperate to find her daughter but refuses to share important information.

Per is balancing his private life as a hockey-dad with the investigation but feels that there is something missing in his life. For her part, Charlotte is trying to find her footing in her everyday life after a terrible tragedy. But when she gets a visit from someone from her past, everything is turned on its head.

Songbird is the free-standing third part in Anki Edvinsson’s heart-racing series of page-turners, with the investigators Per Berg and Charlotte von Klint. As usual, we are offered a mercilessly exciting and dramatic ride.
