We are very happy to welcome Helmi Tolonen to Grand Agency.
Helmi often explores themes of identity and alienation, examining uncomfortable social dynamics through bruised, imperfect characters searching for belonging. Her tone frequently leans toward the tragicomic, blending warmth, emotional grounding, and subtle absurdity.
Her credits include Gåsmamman (Season 7), Jag kommer (YLE/NRK), Tabitas Tattoo änd cär (TV4), Padeldrömmar (TV4) and Drakar (YLE). Helmi holds a BA in screenwriting from Stockholm University of the Arts and is also an alumna of Serial Eyes at DFFB in Berlin, Europe’s premier postgraduate training program for television writers.
Whether writing her own material or developing that of others, Helmi brings strong structural awareness, tonal confidence, and deep sensitivity to her stories.
