CONSUMED BY FIRE (Mannen som brann)
Lotta Fritzdorf & Johan Rosenlind

The summer idyll of Halmstad is abruptly shattered when retiring Detective Superintendent Ragnar Ros turns on the local radio and hears a murder take place, live on air. Shortly afterwards, the victim is found inside one of the schools in town. Ros is thrown into the investigation alongside the newly relocated and razor-sharp, but provocatively fearless, Detective Inspector Siri “Garp” Karlsson, newly arrived in town.
When a burning car is discovered in a deserted area on the outskirts of the city, with a man inside, their uneasy partnership is put to the test. The clues point in conflicting directions, and the case expands into a dark web of lies and revenge.
Meanwhile, Garp is stalked by a persistent ex, a former colleague who has grown increasingly unpredictable and refuses to leave her alone. Ros is struggling with grief after the death of his wife and with his strained relationship with his grown-up daughters. Then, suddenly, one of them vanish without a trace.

REVIEWS
“The puzzle mystery is a competently executed, quaintly rustic and cozy page-turner, with the mystery surrounding the daughter serving as a perfect bridge to the next part of the book.”

“A classic police novel in which the case in the first part is introduced with what appears to be a murder broadcast live on local radio. There are many vivid settings and it’s clear the authors are on home turf. This is a solid police novel.”
