YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS (DU KOMMER ALLTID HA PARIS)

Hanna Jedvik

Alma and Hedvig have graduated from high school and are embarking on a train journey through Europe, or as Hedvig calls it, an “educational journey”. She has made a detailed travel plan that includes everything from prestigious clubs to walking in the footsteps of old authors. Alma longs most for the sea. She is fascinated by the people they meet who live more spontaneously. Ludde and Smilla, who surf and DJ. And Tommy, who travels where the wind takes him.

When Hedvig suggests that they try being with others, a crack in the relationship appears. Alma is confused and without understanding how it happens, the trip – which was supposed to bring them closer together – becomes a source of doubt and brings out their differences. Will their love survive the summer? And is that what Alma really wants?

You Will Always Have Paris depicts a journey and relationship that is both lustful and harrowing. It is the third and final book in the Alma trilogy, a stand-alone continuation of Summer Heat and Across the Bridge.
