Sam is one of those people that no one sees. He’s never asked any questions in class, he doesn’t get invited to parties, and at home, his parents are always occupied with his younger siblings. Until one day he witnesses a robbery of a shop in central Stockholm…

At school, everyone is talking about what happened, and the more they talk, the worse the story becomes. Sam tries to tell them what actually happened, but nobody listens. When he tries again, and exaggerates the story a little bit, it happens: He gets everyone’s attention. And suddenly his life is different – he’s visible. But what is it really like to have power, to have everyone’s eyes on you?

The Invisible is an approachable story in which many will recognize themselves.

REVIEWS

“This is an empathetic, thrilling, and slightly humorous narrative…”Rating: 4 of 5

“He has done it again! Last time it was “Håken,” now comes a story that is just as precise, effective, exciting, and at the same time literary (in the best sense of the word), existing in its very own invisible universe. Frighteningly strong and realistic, and fantastic at the same time. How does he do it?!!”

“A book that is relatively easy to read and keeps its readers hooked. You want to know what will happen on the next page and in the next chapter.”

“The book addresses exclusion and the feeling of being invisible in a beautiful way and with a twist that I like.”

“Petrus Dahlin has an ability to scratch me on the inside with his writing. He brings memories to life that I had packaged away and locked up. Suddenly, the door unlocks, and I feel emotions and situations I had long forgotten.”
Gustavsbokhylla / SWE

“A fantastic novel with expressions I want to underline and formulations I want to read aloud. Impressively good in every way.” (Five stars)
