Emil Wern lives in Visby. In his yard there is an old yellow market stand where he has his detective bureau. And Visby really needs a detective bureau, because it is full of suspicious people. Together with his little sister Linda and the pretty stupid dog Molly, Emil solves some really tricky mysteries.

Emil Wern has summer break, and Visby is filled with tourists. One day when Emil and Ubbe bike down to Almedalen they are met by a large crowd. The governor is on a stage, talking about how all the graffiti and vandalism have to come to an end. Meanwhile, a group of people has gathered behind the stage.

When Emil and Ubbe come closer, they see what people are looking at; someone has put graffiti on the beautiful Visby City Wall, which is over 700 years old! Who could have done something like that? Emil realize immediately what must be done, this is a case for his detective bureau!
