When the children sing the summer songs at the last day of school before summer break, Maria Wern struggles not to cry. She has had a tough spring and is looking forward to a calm couple of weeks with her family.

But things will not go as Maria has expected. Right when the summer heat approaches, Visby is hit by several fires – and they all seem to be arson fires. The perpetrator leaves no traces and the fires start coming more frequently. The acts also seem to be connected to a cold case from two years ago. The Police and the fire department are forced to cooperate to try to stop the pyromaniac, but will they manage before someone is harmed?
